TTC Notice: 61 Avenue Road temporary bus route change

Our office received the following notice from TTC:

Starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, bus access to TTC’s Bombay Loop (located on Avenue Road just north of Highway 401) will be restricted to accommodate a phase of work associated with the Ministry of Transportation’s bridge improvement project. This will require buses to be temporarily diverted in the local neighbourhood. The MTO advises that TTC buses will resume normal operations into the Bombay Loop at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, or sooner, if safe access becomes available.

61 Avenue Road northbound buses will divert one-way via:

  • West on Bombay Avenue, north on Ridley Boulevard,
  • East on Sandringham Drive and south on Bideford Avenue to Avenue Road.

A bus stop will be placed on Bombay Avenue immediately west of Avenue Road. Bus departure times will follow the current schedule. Please note that customers may experience longer than normal travel times.
